Review: Loner

Loner Loner by Holley Trent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Loner" is book two in Norseton Wolves series, and a stand-alone short novella. Stephanie, a half-breed werewolf spent too many years being on the outside of her fathers pack criticized for what she assumed were "shortcomings". Darius was kicked out of his pack at 9 years old for showing Alpha traits and survived by staying in wolf form for too many years before finding his current pack. When the Alpha puts out a mating call for Stephanie decides this is her chance for happiness and grabs it, Drake dreads the possible mating but longs for it too. Is it possible that the Alpha and the Goddess will match up the right women and men?

"Loner" is a steamy, but sweet read. A little different than the majority of shifter books I've read in the past. Drake is Alpha but not living up to his potential for greatness and hopefully through Stephanies strengths he will. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series and potentially other Holley Trent books.
