"Chasing Magic" by Gena D. Lutz is an amusing novella length story that tells the tale of Anika, a witch facing her final exam, her boyfriend Drake, and her ex-best friend Tamara and the incident of a spell gone wrong. When Tamara in a fit of jealousy sabotages Anika's spell casting, Drake helps Anika chase down the evil that escaped. Can they save the town of innocent humans and save day?
I gave "Chasing Magic" 3.5 stars because although this is an amusing story with likable characters, I needed more background on them in order to care what happened and understand them more. I liked the ending but felt there was a little more story to be told to lead up to it. All in all, this is a good book, especially if you're looking for a light hearted read.
