Review: Black Balled

Black Balled Black Balled by Andrea Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I will start out by saying I don't read many Male/male books, but this one sucked me into the story from the beginning. With Babu's rude opinions of indie books, it was like seeing a train wreck and not being able to look away. Then with Larson's alpha male attitude and inability to not respond to the criticism..... well I was hooked. Then the chemistry was off the charts when they finally got together, brought to mind "Love in an Elevator" by Aerosmith. "Black Balled" also looked at the real human side of why some people feel the need to lash out at others, but of course, Troy's (Babu) reason where personal and legitimate, thankfully he was able to work through them by the end.

What did bother me about this book.... the fact that the followers of Babu's book reviews would fully "black ball" a book based solely on his opinion. I do read reviews, but if the book appeals to me from the blurb then I go ahead and read it. Not everyone will like a book and that's ok. This book may not be for everyone, but honestly, I loved this book! I even surprisingly did not skip over sex scenes because they were well written and sexy, unlike a few I have read that were downright raunchy as hell. I loved the whole alpha male versus alpha male, and glad they both retained their man card throughout the book. Testerone is sexy as hell!
