Review: The Billionaire & The Barfly

The Billionaire & The Barfly The Billionaire & The Barfly by Adrianne James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Aubrey is a personal assistant at Viola video game company, which she does an amazing job at. So when she gets an opportunity to work in marketing she goes out to the neighborhood bar and runs into Henry a "Hot Nerd" with a penchant for comic book superheroes. Their attraction is tangible, but Aubrey doesn't do relationships, she likes to use them for one night and toss them back. So when she finds he works or rather is the "Maximus" in Maximus Gaming, she feels betrayed. Henry refuses to let her go and makes her face the truth..... her life is just an empty shell of what it could be.

I really didn't like Aubrey from the start, but she grew on me as the story unfolded and she actually started to take responsibilities for her actions. Henry, I really liked for his sincerity, sexiness, and single-minded focus on Aubrey. He helped Aubrey grow as a person with love and understanding. By the end of the book, I loved them together but was disappointed the story didn't go on a few more chapters to provide a wedding and children or something. I wanted a definitive happy ever after for them. I'm hoping Adrianne James continues this story.

As always here's the link on Amazon for this book:
