MY REVIEW:
I was hooked into the story of Graham from the first page, and can't wait to read the next books in the series! I can only imagine how Graham must feel when he wakes from his dreams to find things floating in the air for a few minutes, not knowing who you can trust about his horrifying dreams and knowing that if he tells then he could lose his home at the orphanage. He hears about someone that might be able to help him with his dreams and goes everyday into town to try to find him, he'd do anything to make it stop or to understand what's going on. But knowing the truth could be extremely dangerous for him and those he cares about. But not knowing could be just as dangerous!

This is a Young Adult Sci-fi read but enjoyable for adults too!

In the process of transport one of the team members is infected with the deadly virus and the PBI team’s world explodes from there.

My Review:

I loved this book! It so much like reading your favorite paranormal tv show! I can't wait to read the next installment and see how they progress within the Bureau in their departments as well as with their partners and co-workers. And now that something major has happened to Frankie, I'm excited to see what happens!

I'm trying my best to avoid doing a spoiler so that's why this is so vague, but trust me it's awesome!

They have each other, and Sarah is learning she has also caught the eye of a brooding, possessive vampire who happens to be on his own road to redemption.

This is the pilot episode of PBI Case Files, a new paranormal mystery novella series that is sure to keep you wondering… what if?

MY REVIEW:
I really enjoyed this book and it brought to mind X-files, Warehouse 13, Fringe type of tv shows. This would be the first episode where two sisters stumble into something they have no idea actually exist.... vampires, Amazons, and other paranormal creatures. How would you deal with that type of situation? I think I'd probably do what they do. I can't say much more about this without giving away this book.... and I hate people spoiling books for me so I won't for you.

This is the second book I've read of Jami Brumfield and she is quickly becoming a fave author for me. I'll be reading and reviewing PBI Case Files: Out Break soon! Cant wait!

Hide: The Delta Project Part 1 by Jessica Jaster

Blurb:
D005 has been a part of a secret program known as the Delta Project her entire life. She has been genetically modified to be stronger, faster, smarter and to heal faster. Trained in hand-to-hand combat, weaponry and battle tactics, she has been worked to physical and mental exhaustion every day of her life. Raised without love or care of any kind, she has no idea what it means to be happy – to be free. And now she has run away.
But then she wakes up on the rocky shore of the Missouri River with no memory of how she got there, or why there are bullet wounds, scratches and bruises riddling her body. Her entire past has become a blank sheet except for a recurring nightmare of her running through the woods with dogs chasing her and voices shouting at her that she can never hide.
As she struggles to understand the kind of life she has never had, emotions she has never felt before, and the mystery of her past, she is helped by Brianna Hartman and Reid Phelps – the two teenagers who discover her. When she goes to live with Brianna at the Hartman Ranch, she must also learn to deal with Bri’s brother, the gruff Cormac Hartman, who is running from his own past. He seems to hate her from the word go, but when she discovers his crude attitude is just his way of dealing with the hurt he is feeling, she decides to make it her mission to draw him back into life. Then a mysterious stranger comes to the ranch and her new world comes crashing down around her as her past comes back to haunt her.

My Review:
I enjoyed this story about a mysterious girl that shows up on the beach one day wearing a silver suit and a bracelet with a triangle and 5 dots, having been shot multiple times and with amnesia. She was taken in by Bri and her brother Mac since she had no idea where she came from. As her memory continues to have holes in it, her abilities become more revealing of things in her past and that they may not be normal things. Weston becomes closer to Bri and Mac and the rest of the ranch crew, and worries that her past will endanger them someday. The synopsis caught my attention and the book didn't let me down, I was intrigued from page one and found the characters to be very realistic.

Dark Indescretions by Shakuita Johnson

Blurb:

*Adult content not intended for anyone under 18. M/M M/F/F and M/F/M scenes

What happens when your whole family is scarier than any nightmare and you have no desire to be anything like them? Do you stay and go along with the family plans or do you rebel and have them possibly turn their viciousness on you?

Jennifer Johnston experiences first hand why whispers are spoken in the dark about her species being evil when she was just a century old. What should have been another family dinner spent arguing over why she didn’t want to keep the bloodlines “pure” by being married off to her older brother turned into a nightmare and left her with more than tortured memories.

Jackson Dawls and Taylor Durham had been pack mates, best friends, and the other’s mate for as long as they could remember. They were a deadly species all their own but even they feared the Mystics and their overly cruel and barbaric ways, but unforeseen circumstances bring them face to face with not one but a few. Will there lives be in danger or is something great and unexpected awaiting them?

They also have to stay under the radar of the human society that is set out to destroy those they believe to be “Tarnished” and a danger to mankind.

When the three meet long ago secrets are brought to the light. Secrets no one but Jennifer knew. Not only do they have to learn to get along with each other because they are fated, someone is also stalking Jennifer and preforming sinister acts without her being any the wiser.

Jennifer must seek guidance from old acquaintances and form alliances with those she never thought she would. She is met with riddles and startling revelations that she never would have imagined possible.

Will they accept their fates and work together or will old fears destroy their lives? Will Jennifer be able to reclaim what was taken from her right from under her nose?

My Review:
I liked Dark Indiscretions as a whole because the story line is interesting. A shape-shifting witch vampyra is mated to two werewolves that have been mated for years together. But she brings along personal baggage that creates havoc with their bonding and threatens the lives of all those around her. Who wouldn't want to have two very hot Alpha males to mate with? Jenny is beautiful and sweet, but has an evil side to her and a heritage that she fights to keep under control . Can she contain it? Can she protect her daughter from her past? Will she lose it all when the past comes to attack her?

This book is 18+ without a doubt  due to language and sexual situations. If you do not like F/M/M sex scenes then you should pass on this book. It was only one scene but it was detailed. If you love them or are able to read through them and enjoy a story for itself then you should read this book which is first in the series. I will be reading Monster Unleashed very soon.

Forever Waiting by P.D. Stevens

Blurb:
After living in fear of a hidden past and denying herself a real chance at true love, the beautiful and independent Landrey Steele goes about her everyday life in New York City working as an assistant to a well known fashion designer. Taking on an opportunity to launch a new clothing line in California, Landrey finds herself in a situation for which she has longed, but never imagined could actually happen. When she runs into the one man for whom she would have given up everything, passion reignites between Landrey and the engaging, blue-eyed Zaine Brooks. Their relationship blossoms, but somebody doesn't like it. An intimidating string of events begins to hit too close home and threatens the happiness it has taken so long to find. Will this fear keep Landrey and Zaine Forever Waiting?

My Review:

This was a great story about how no matter if you think you're unworthy of love, someone thinks you are. Landrey was a beautiful intelligent woman who had been torn down emotionally and physically in her past, and was broken by the experience. I was able to connect with Landrey and her past so this made a touching story for me. The chemistry between Landrey and Zaine make for a romantic story, with a fun sidekick Tayla to spice it up.

This story had the right amount of romance and drama to keep me interested.

Lady In The Mist by Catherine Wolffe

Blurb:
The Civil War took Sonja Brooks husband and left her alone. Unprotected and scared, she runs headlong into a life changing event when she's attacked by a pack of wolves. Her fate as a werewolf is sealed. When she stumbles upon Ty Loflin, a Rebel soldier dying of his wounds, she nurses him back to health. He's the perfect mate, but will he want her once he knows the truth?

In Book 1 of this new series by Award-winning author Catherine Wolffe, the Western Werewolf Legend weaves a new blend of western romance with paranormal elements involving werewolves and vampires.

My Review:
The widow Sonja Brooks was out one day when she was attacked by wolves and taken in by an old witch woman who saved her life. She later prophesied that she would become a werewolf at the full moon. On her trip home she came across a wounded soldier that she saved by giving of her healing blood. She fights to keep her secret from him as they grow closer daily.

I felt this was an interesting mix of werewolf, Cherokee mysticism and the Civil War. An attractive female and sexy male leads make a few steamy moments.

Overall this is a good book, but there are a few editing problems but not enough to take away from the story. I hope there is another book or two to this series because I'd love to find out where Sonja and Ty's relationship takes them.

Something More by Jenna Tyler

Blurb:
***Warning: This book contains sexual content and some strong language. 18 & older is advised.***

Rebecca Michaels has finally grown tired of her monotonous life and is ready to make a drastic change. Now that her daughter, Charlie, is away at college, there has never been a more perfect time to make it happen.
Packing up and leaving behind all she's ever known, she eagerly ventures out in search of what the world, outside of this dull town, has in store for her.
When she first encounters Andrew Chambers, a mysteriously sexy and seemingly wealthy stranger, she doesn't think she will ever stand a chance with someone like him. Little does she know just how wrong she is or how fierce an attraction the two of them would immediately share. Although, lavish attention and on-demand orgasms are not something she's going to complain about, the speed and intensity with which Andrew pursues her is almost more than she can handle.
Rebecca Michaels wanted an adventure, but the one that awaits her isn't necessarily what she had
in mind.

My Review:

This was a refreshing change from all the 20 something stories out there because it dealt with a 40 year old empty nester. Becca decided to move cross country and leave her now college age daughter and ex husband to carve out a new life for herself. After moving into her apartment she makes friends with a girl who works at the local bookstore, who just happens to live in her apartment. While out getting coffee one morning she literally runs into the most gorgeous man she's ever seen, and spills coffee on him to her dismay! She and her new friend head out to the local bar and he's there and she runs smack into him when coming out of the bathroom! There's attraction between them and they agree to a date.
Is it possible to find someone so perfect you and know it from the start? Is 40 to old to try to find true love? Will her daughter be supportive of a new man in her life? Will Drew be able to accept a grown child?

This book is a panty wetter as well as a wonderful romance!  5 stars

Newbie Book Reviewer

Wow I've decided to take the plunge and post the reviews I already write for books I read to a blog. I don't know how well this will work at this time. I really have no idea what I'm doing, but I hope that you will find my reviews informative and entertaining at times. I enjoy reading a vast array of books from all genre's and if I post a book that is not to your liking, please just bypass it because I will at times review explicit books or M/M or F/F.... pretty much whatever comes across my Kindle. I will also sometimes review children's books that I have read to my boys.

A little about me: I am a mom and avid reader. I have varied interest in crafting and music, and may occasionally share something from them but not sure yet.

I'm excited to be starting this and hope ya'll enjoy my reviews as much as I enjoy sharing them!
