Having read parts 1-3 of this series I felt that I needed to read it from start to finish so I could truly judge this book in it's entirety. " The Sicarii" by A.J. Bennett is an intriguing variation on the hit man love story due to the fact the hitman in question, Thorne, is a half God rejected and sent to Earth as punishment after his soul mate dies. He basically goes through 2,000 years with an attitude problem, a lust for hot women, and a gun for hire. That is until he meets the sexy Kataya. He's so attracted to her that one night is not enough so he goes in search of her night after night, only thing is she's in a different for every time (she's a chameleon shifter) and a witch. They have a lust/hate attraction for each other that they fight through the whole book, which leads to some steamy moments. Thorne, with the help of his buddy Benny head out on multiple hits together which include Kataya's husband who's out for revenge! Talk about complications!
I enjoyed this book very much and loved that it wasn't the normal hit man romance. I loved the cross of genre's and can't wait to read Benny and Thanatos stories. The only negative for me was the ending, I felt it was a little rushed and could have taken a little longer to resolve. Otherwise this a very enjoyable read.
