Review: True Love Way

True Love Way True Love Way by Mary Elizabeth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is one of the best books I've read this year, my only regret is that I didn't open my copy sooner. I picked my paperback up from Mary Elizabeth a book event I attended because I was seduced by the free heart-shaped glasses. I had no idea what this book was about, but I can tell you it is now one of my favorite books and I have added Mary Elizabeth to my list of fave authors too.

Dillon and his friends pause on their bikes when they see a moving van pull in the next driveway and a cute tween girl wearing shorts, funky shaped sunglasses and carrying a box. Penelope's family moved to town in hopes of building a new life after her dad gets the coaching job at the local school. Dillon knows Pen is different from the start but he can't help be linked to her in every way. Pen hides behind her variety of sunglasses believing that she's reasonably invisible to outside world. She suffers from severe depression and the only person who can help her feel better is Dillon. He helps her with sadness and madness, and everything in between; but what happens when it gets to be too much? Will he get tired of it and move on will he continue to do it True Love Waye?
"True Love Way" was such an in depth story into what some people suffer if they have depression. A love story with so much heart that it reveals itself in little ways and you know you're not going back no matter what. I felt Pen's sadness and madness, and could almost hear her laughter. Quite simply, I love this book!!! It brought back summers as a kid and first loves.
