Surprisingly this was my first time reading "Peter Pan" and what better way to read it than aloud with your children. It was a grand adventure to all of us, and definitely worth reading again.
Wendy and her brothers are fast asleep while their parents are at a party down the road and usually protected by their dog "Nana". The maid disapproved of dogs in the house and chained her outside away from her charges. Meanwhile, Peter Pan lured them away with dreams of mermaids, pirates, and tons of adventure. Adventure is exactly what they got in return too; Captain Hook, the Injuns, and Tinkerbell's antics.
What a wonderful story for all ages!
