"The Standout" by Laurel Osterkamp is an exciting page turner! Once I got into the book I didn't want to stop reading it! Robin is a former reality TV contestant who gets called in to fill an empty slot on another show that features fashion designers. The day after she accepts the invite she receives a menacing letter, things escalate to text messages and threats but her fiance' convinces her to go ahead and do the show. Things get worse during the filming of the show and sabotage seems to be coming from all directions. The cast of characters are so real and flawed that you can imagine that they are people you know. The conclusion to this was so very unexpected and made me love this story even more!
"The Standout" is like doing a mash-up of "Project Runway" and "The Black Swan". I highly recommend this book.
