"Silver Moon Light" by Marah Woolf is a young adult paranormal story.Emma's mother dies and she goes to live in Scotland with her Uncle and his family, and finds that her life is forever changed. On one of her first days there she and the rest of the family are called down to the beach to assist getting the whales back in the water, while doing this she meets Calum, a young man who stays with an older couple in town. He's so standoffish with her from the beginning, but then nice to her..... it's so many mixed signals it will make a girls head spin. When she finds out his secret, it opens up a world she only thought existed in fairy tales. Knowing these things could put her in danger, is their attraction to each other worth the risks? And can the secrets of the parents destroy them?
I really enjoyed reading about Mermen and hearing the stories and rules about the "shellycoats" in Scotland. Thank you Talk Supe for gifting this paperback book from a contest. I believe the original language for this book is German so the format is a little different than what I'm used to, but makes little to no difference at all to the story. This book one so to learn the whole story we will need to read Book two which is out now, and three which should be out soon.
