"Summer of the Sea Serpent" is book number 31 in the Magic Treehouse series, and just as enjoyable as the other books in the series. My 5 year old checked this out of the library at school and read it alone, then we read it together with his 8 yr. old sibling. I enjoyed the story as much as they did. and recommend this series to other parents as a lower grade introduction to mystical, magical, mythical reading books.
