This was our first Hot Rod Hamster book and it was cute. My fist grader liked it, but is used to reading more advanced books. I felt it was lower than second grade and more appropriate for pre-k through 1st grade. I bought this from Scholastic before Halloween just to have a Halloween read aloud book.
